I received my MFA from the University of Idaho in 2018. My short stories have appeared in or are forthcoming from Bennington Review, Terrain.org, Fence, and Smokelong Quarterly. (I publish my work under my full name, Samantha Burns.)

My writing has been supported by residencies and grants from Creative Capital, Yaddo, the Ucross Foundation, and the Idaho Commission on the Arts. My work has also been supported by several other conferences and residencies, including Community of Writers, the Anne LaBastille Memorial Writers Residency from the Adirondack Center for Writing, and Marble House Project.
